We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Practice Integration Director to coordinate post-merger integration of acquired surgery practices. This role serves as the central integration lead responsible for roadmap execution, milestone tracking, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across the integration lifecycle. The position requires periodic travel to support onboarding activities directly at healthcare facilities. All required travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Core Responsibilities
Integration Governance
Develop integration roadmaps (Day-0, 30/60/90 days, and 3/6/9/12 months).
Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across operations, finance, IT, compliance, and HR.
Maintain milestone trackers, risk logs, and executive dashboards.
Serve as the primary coordination point between MSO leadership and acquired practices.
Clinical Operations
Coordinate transition of intake, scheduling, staffing, facilities, and supply chain processes.
Support operational standardization while preserving physician autonomy.
Track operational stabilization and performance metrics.
Revenue Cycle & Finance
Coordinate integration of billing, coding, collections, payer contracting, and charge capture.
Coordinate accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting transitions.
Coordinate cash flow stabilization and integration financial targets.
IT & Data
Coordinate EHR integration or interoperability strategies.
Coordinate reporting, dashboards, and data visibility.
Coordinate integration of practice systems with enterprise IT architecture.
Compliance
Coordinate regulatory transition activities including HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and licensing.
Coordinate credentialing, payer enrollments, and compliance milestones are completed.
People & Change Management
Coordinate HR, benefits, payroll, and workforce transitions.
Coordinate physician and staff communications.
Identify and escalate culture or retention risks.
Required Qualifications
8+ years in healthcare integration, MSO operations, or PE-backed platform environments.
Direct experience integrating surgical or specialty physician practices.
Strong understanding of revenue cycle, finance, EHR systems, and healthcare regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Proven execution discipline across multiple concurrent integrations.
Executive-level communication skills; physician-credible presence.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience in reconstructive or surgical specialties.
MBA or MHA.
Experience in high-growth, acquisition-driven platforms.
Formal PMP or structured program management training.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
100% Day-0 readiness for all acquisitions.
30/60/90 stabilization achieved on timeline.
3/6/9/12-month integration milestones met per roadmap.
Cash collections stabilized within 60–90 days post-close.
Accounting, payroll, and AP transitions completed without material disruption.
Target synergies achieved within defined thresholds.
Zero material compliance findings attributable to integration execution.
High physician retention and positive post-integration satisfaction.
Experience:
Merger integration across multiple acquisitions: 3 years (Preferred)
Building structured integration roadmaps beyond 90 days: 1 year (Preferred)
Acquisition-driven healthcare platforms: 2 years (Preferred)
Healthcare MSO: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification: PMP or formal program management training (Preferred)
Willingness to Travel: 50%
